Li, I find it a coincidence that this thread is all of a sudden bumped from last September to now. Could there be a reason for this? Maybe you really wholeheartedly show an interest in Joey's japonicus but I find it funny how you downplay it's value after finding out that it's no longer in Joey's possession.

What species do you consider semi-rare in the hobby so I have a good comparison? I'm sure if they were semi-rare, you would have no problems producing at least a few updated pics from the "few folks" you know, right? I would love to see them...

I too would like to see these other japonicus that are floating around the US other than Don's, which is currently the only documented(photographed) US japonicus.
 
Are they really that rare? Only one in the whole country. Must be worth a pretty penny. Congrats DonH.:nilly: :headbang2
