Was that sold as "Royal" or just Nile Perch? I'm wondering if there is really such a thing as "royal"? He look's great. I lost mine about 3 week's ago. Will be getting another for sure.

it's my favorite variety too...mostly because it's the only one I have

That completely sucks bro, very sorry to hear.

When I first posted pics of mine Seiichi called it a Congo...that has kind of stuck with me...when that next batch came in they were being called Royal...all same fish from same source though...some call them Royal Congo also, I can't keep up with the common names

They are a different fish then the regular Nile's though and don't get nearly as big.

The cam is just a Nikon 40x..(they don't make it anymore...old) I use an overhead flash, sb600.

Filtration on this tank is an eheim 2080, ac 110 and a couple of sponge filters
