I've planned for 3ft but I don't think he'll ever get that big...we'll see.mzkt742953;3991631; said:Ah ok thank you!
Is there any solid source of the possible maxium size of the congo-version? Because i guess even when they stey smaller in avergae the maxium size has to be half the size of the normal lates niloticus, due to the fact that they should share most of the genes.
And to imagine an 3 or 4 feet long perch with this colouring, holy **** how awesome would that look!!!! Probably one of the most impressive combinations of size, mass and style, because these fish are neither thin or flat!
But how is the behaviour of those perchs? Is it a killer like the most other really big carnivores like big channa oder hoplias? Or is it more some of those fish which leave other fish allone as long as they are to big to be eaten?

Agreed...or at least that's what I'm hoping for...very slow growth, maybe 1/2" per month for mine.Tainted Glory;3991934; said:These things top out at 24-30" tops. A lot smaller than their cousins and slow growers to boot.
