Biggest catch in freshwater ever!..........................but only in digicam. lol
I've been fishing the past 3 weeks every time I ventured out in the lake here. Before that I would first walk around the lake to scout for suitable targets, before I go back out to fish. Early last month I realized that I was almost 20 fish short of last year's pace and drop the scout first part and just go fishing almost every day. That change in strategy worked so well I was not only able to catch up to last year's pace but actually surpassed last year's total a couple of months early.
Yesterday's wake up call with the hook in the hand event made me realize there's no more need to keep going the same way as in the past weeks.
So, today I went back to the scout first then fish only if targets are there. Here's today's catch - a 3 foot grass carp on digicam. Visibility was very poor given the overcast skies, windy conditions, and very brisk water movement and the carp foraging near shore was all I saw.
