They are spotted Tilapia. Very common around here. I saw one that was Half Black last year. Have not seen it again.

They have stripes when young. The outer edges of the stripes fade as they grow and only spots remain prominent. At certain angles, the stripes remain visible, though.

These pair was custom made for the grill as tonight is Fish Fry night. Perfectly matched pair in terms of size. The female is about 15 inch and male is about 16 inch.

Female is # 145 and male is # 146.
