it was ignorant you came in here like you own this thread. so what he did it with a net. are you going to stop him? are you going to make a difference? i doubt it just leave it aloneno one cares. if someone gets caught for doing something illegal they will be punished accordingly you my friend are not the law nor can you enforce it. you do your job and the law will do theres.

I definitely care that the law is not being followed, and in a public manner. Teleost is right to say that the member needed some insight, it was the delivery that was the problem.

I think that this has run it's course. MFK supports local laws and will be more proactive in informing those that don't know the law regarding native specimens. I think valid points were made, and I think that we need a native section that complies with local laws and ethical practices. Anyone having a problem with anything that goes on in this forum can PM staff, or use the report post button. My PM box is open.

Theirs only 1 thing to say....WHO CARES!....You take this stuff too far...calm down...Think about it...if state officials arent banging down these peoples doors right now and searching every inch of their tanks I DONT think you should give a crap what someone else keeps in their tanks as long as its happy and healthy.

Plus even if it is illegal use the golden rule: Dont get caught....

The Golden Rule is if it is not legal, then don't do it. I agree that enforcement is lax, because they don't have the manpower to enforce these laws, but this site does support local laws. We try and convey a message that promotes ethical and legal fishkeeping practices, which in the end is best for the hobby. A cavalier attitude towards these laws will lead to further restriction in native fishkeeping. Obtain your natives legally. That's what's best for all of us.
