Leaking tank help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Just to be clear I just removed the inside seems not the silicone in between the glass. The pic is of the bottom corner of the tank from the short side, and the long (front pane) is viewed from the side (the one thats not wresting on the bottom). I removed the inside seam and it left the gap where the razor blade is.

Yeah, I don't think I'd sleep well leaving it like that if it were my tank.

OK so I sealed everything today, for the most part looks good. But I left 1 strip of masking tape on for too long and the result was a half dry silicone partly peeling away :irked:. Pushed most of it back. I was telling myself the whole time to remember to remove it all as I've heard of other peoples mishaps and as murphy's law would have it, it's on the front viewing window's side.

Anyway I'll wait till tomorrow and remove the excess silicone with razor that should have been removed with the tape.
I'll fill it for a few days and see if it leaks, otherwise I'll just ask a guy that reseals aquariums here to do it for me, this silicone is really frustrating.

I'll post some pic's later
