Bought a 7 inch Tig Cat today for my 180 gallon. After Acclimation, my Marbled Salfin Pim (about 22 inches) had a nice meal

Cool fish for about 10 minutes.

Pretty expensive feeder, probably woulda recommended at least a 16" tig for safety sake with a marble pim that size though, they have HUGE appetites and a big mouth like a RTC. Sorry for your loss though that sucks, if you don't mind me asking where did you find tigs right now because I'm half way looking to pick one up ~Trent

Sorry to hear that. did you happen to take any pics of that encounter? Just curious it's nice to share!

Hmmm, this has me thinking my rtc x tsn has outgrown at least one of his tankmates. I think it is time for my tsn x P. blochii to go to a different tank. It is only 16 inches and the tsn x rtc is 28 1/2 inches. What do you guys think? It could definitely fit in his mouth. LOL that is one big feeder though. The largest thing he has eaten so far was a white sucker at 14 inches, but much, much less thick than my small hybrid. Ehh, if he does i will take pics. Sure it would take a few days to digest.

oh yeah, the tsn x rtc was only 22 inches when i first got him so there was no worries then, but now.............to be continued!

oh geez a 7" tig with a 22" marble...:screwy: hahaha just kidding man, but that sucks. Did you really not think the marble cat was going to eat the tig?

necrocanis, your hybrid cat may be a gonner soon

Being we're on the topic of having our fish eaten by other fish...what would you guys recommend for housing a lima shovelnose, a tiger, and an RTC x TSN? I have the RTC x TSN currently and it's only pushing 6". But I am interested in getting the other two as well. Will they do ok in an aquarium or are other measures recommended? For that matter, would these 3 catfish try to kill/eat eachother or would they shake fins and enjoy the others company?
