me too, for snakes who aren't to heavy to crush them. Nice and disposable.

I agree ESP shoe boxes . My snakes are 3 to 4 feet so boxes work great but I like that clay pot dish look and will work great buried with only top sticking out.

I agree, I felt something was off because he was unusually active yesterday, and when I picked him up, it hit me, he is in shed.

So I whipped up a moist hide for him, he went in, and never came out :)

You can kind of see his blue eyes in these pics:

Nice looking BP. I like them never had one but like them.

Thanks Louie, I really like bp's, especially their slower movments.

Here's Toshiro in deep blue... I'm guessing he will shed today.

great looking after the shed than take another pic as big difference surprised you were able to handle him at all since he is shedding close to blind now.
my snakes are calm but won't handle them around shedding time

I was on edge when I took his hide out of the tank. I knew I needed to change out the paper towels in it, so if he bit me, I would just have to take it.

Luckily though, he seems to be very chill.

Actually, their eyes look blue for a few days but then clear up again before they actually shed their skin. Once you notice them back to their normal color, the shed usually occurs 24-48 hrs after.

That blue stuff is actually fluid building up between the older, outer layer of skin over the eye and the newer developing layer beneath. The outside layer doesn't come off until the new layer underneath is ready, indicated when the eyes clear up.

Wow that's cool, thank you for that explanation elevatethis!
