leaving the light on..

As little as possible if not planted. Only when feeding and in the evening when I'm there to watch it. It makes tanks with absolutely no algae and fish don't seem to bother. Dailight seems sufficient to me; I don't think that sun rays penetrate that deep in lakes and rivers anyway.

My lights are on a timer that is on from 7:45am to 10:00pm. This tank is in our living room where there is lots of back and forth traffic, during these times of day so we like to see the fish.

On my new 210g set up I am thinking of trying a different set up to simulate dusk/dawn. Still working on the type of lights and timer/controller that I need to set up. Anyone out there got a reasonably priced timer/controller idea for that?

never turn off
