I will be aiming for both if the price is reasonable enough why not , I actually spoke with a manufacturer maybe they could work with me
nice tanks bro.

If you could make reef lighting as well as accent lighting that would be awesome. I am gonna try to start a High end tank install and maintenance business when i get back and could deffinatly use i good source for led if everything goes right.

Great Let me know I actually will start selling led lighting soon but it wont be stuff for diy for now I just want to test and see how it goes .

I think if you market a kit that is Aquarium purposed..... safe around water and properly tuned for tanks you may have something.

Hopefully it all works out, but this is the main thing people want. Cheap, easy, and good quality. A lot of times those are hard to pull off, but with leds I think its do-able.

PM me and let me know how it all turns out and if you want to try to work out selling them.

Just go to eBay and you will find tons of LED resellers (mostly from China.) Prices have come down so much that it's almost cheaper than DIY.
However, almost complete lack of focus on freshwater or planted tanks. Seems like a great opportunity if you find the right manufacturer

Risk exposure is something one must consider when starting a business. You need to have some strong terms and conditions in place to protect yourself. There are dumb people out there who can screw up even the most simple DIY kit. Considering the electrical nature of your idea comes with some high risk exposure IMO.
