There not listed ony Family Potamotrygonidae are illegal. This family is south american. Asian stinrays and Atlantic are fine.

Dang, when I was a kid, I used to catch these from the Buckman Bridge spanning over the St. Johns River. Didn't know that it was a big deal but I wondered why they were in fresh water. They look just like any other Dasyatis sabina. They are not small like teacups.

even your tank is not large enough to house a full grown giant freshwater ray... they get huge!!!!!!!!! but it would be cool to see one in a private collection

these are old pics but they are not even maxed out on size yet supposedly they will get a bit bigger than these pics... some of the small eyed rays from SA get big to I cant remember what family they are in though
