I can import some but they ship terrible and cost alot to ship because of lenth even when small. I can get some but it is at high risk of DOA.

St. John River has the only freshwater population in North America of any elasmobranches as far as I know, so get some one to collect them there,

Mississippi River has a great population of bull sharks in it. Some of them found further North are now thought to be sustained in full fresh.:D (Sorry I had to)

As for the topic, they are 100% legal in CA when referencing the over all ban on potymotrygon genius. They are also not to hard for someone with a little experience under their belt....such as yourself. Good luck locating some. Maybe we could trade you for a certain large silver and red fish you have :naughty:

So there is a possibility of a legal fw stingray? Hmmm...

yes they are legal in cali
i have tried keeping them 2 times with no luck
i do think that you could keep one with a large tank like john has.
In ime they should be kept with non aggressive tank mates
get a couple john there beautiful
one of your tanks would be more than perfect

john I was thinking you sould try and pull a permit for south american rays
with what you got you could consider them for research for nasa etc.. (what ever works) that way you would'nt have to waste your time with whiptails
They are too delicate i have never heard of anyone keeping them long term
i think you could pull it off (maybe)
