Here is a quick question for ya. Other than Steve's I have never heard of any Lei close to 30" that has lived in a tank from day 1?
Most people do not have the room for such a large tank, or mutiple tanks. Should they not keep such a fish? Hell no!!
They should get the fish they are interested in keeping and keep up water quality and have a large healthy fish.
On the other hand there are people that have no common sense when it comes to moneyand have more than enough room to keep monster tanks but thats another story.

you also gotta take into account that alot of people cant get ahold of this fish as easily as the other arowana species. When they do the end result is usually failure. and it never sees the day n age of reaching that size.
