All aros are jumpy if you keep on spooking them. Even asian aros and aussie aros would do this kind of behavior, especially when they are still young.

Every Silver I've seen from 2" to 12" get jumpy during simple movement in front of the tank to water changes and even feeding sometimes. I do not "spook" any of my fish. Who does? My Jardini's simply sink to the bottom and wait till I'm done w/ a water change and even brush against my arm ocassionally.

wow that large jardini doesnt have large barbels it has a tumor.

No one spooks their fish constantly for fun. He means that silvers usually react to every little thing while the asian aros only react to the bigger more serious things.

I'm not saying that you're spooking them purposely but sometime they get spook when doing water change, turning the light on or coming in front of the tank, while they are still young.

Normally a single or less than 4 aros that are still young get spook. That's just normal for them. It a form of protecting itself from bigger predators.

Good point, but for some reason, asians just dont get spooked out as much. And Ive always had this question as well. If aros hate red so much, how come they dont flip out when chili reds are together in a pond or tank?

Well if you walked around your house nake your aro would get spook and traumatized. The aro has never seen a worms so fat and long. Is there anything to help reduce the aro being less skittish? Are lei barbel supposed to point downward?

Funny one:ROFL:. Leis and jars barbels are not really that hard compared to south american aros and asian aros. That's why they look like it's pointing downward as they swim.
