leichardti jumped

Maybe you were previously feeding the tank and walked away for a minute. That's when he jumped. A minute later you came back, closed all the lids as normal and walked away without noticing he wasn't in the tank. I think that's how I lost a fish once because I couldn't come up with any other explantion. Sorry for your loss...it always sucks losing nice fish like that.

Thanks ethnics. At the moment no other lei in the plans. The afro is gonna have to be by himself for awhile. My brother offered me his jardini to take his place, but its not the same as a leichardti. Still might take him up on it though.

jardini's are awesome fish, but just do not compare to leichardti's.
im still very sad that this guy jumped. i still remember u posting pics when mine was a wee lil guy last year.
makes me scared, cuz mine is about the size of yours. and my lids are very poorly designed. i will tackle a task when i get home today.

Do it as soon as possible, because you never know when it might happen. Go to home depot and get some 4x4's the length of the tank to lay across the lids. Post up some pics, I'd love to see yours now at that size.
