That's good that it has not died since a dead one won't do you much good. Now, if it's also not dyed, you're in for a good looking O once it matures.

Depending on area, yellows run between $20-$30 retail.

If the yellow is uniform throughout the body, face, and fins, chances are it's a dyed fish. Here's a pic of one of my Os from when I got them. Not the yellow color is less on the top of the head, edge of the operculum, and varies from the fin peduncles out to the fin edges.

Yeah. Must be that biologically integrating dye that becomes part of the fish to evade decomposition.

yeah guys the only dyed Os are the blueberry ones, but as for OP's question, i personally think that the 29g is already too stocked to allow the addition of an O that is already 2.5in, Os grow fast and unless your going to be doing water changes every other day to prevent stunting then i dont think you should get it, or go ahead and get the 20g and grow it out in there by itself until you can get at least a 75g for it by itself or larger if you want it with the ebjd. also ebjd will grow alot slower than the O so you will want to keep it in separate tank until it has grown a bit more and there is no danger of the O out growing and making it dinner or stressing it
