I got him a year ago at A Place for Pets in Burien. That was the price they were going for. Not gonna lie, its a beautiful crenicichla!!!

I have a lenticulata, too and like yours it was fine till he got about 9 inches...then he turned into the terror of the tank. He took a chunk out of my aba aba knife (saved the aba aba though and moved it into a different tank), and attempts to go after my dovii (the 4 inch male dovii is too fast and maneuverable for the pike to get....so far). And my red devil, normally the Leroy Brown of the tank runs like a little girl when the pike is in a bad mood. Unlike some of the other aggressive cichlids I have kept, the lenticulata seems to really want to actuvely kill its tankmates, not just drive them out of his perceived territory. Still, its a heck of a neat fish. Here's a photo of him.

Are you starting to see the light yet bro? KEEP THE CRENICICHLA!! :D ;)

It's really a tough call, unless I can talk my wife into having another tank in the house. Such a good looking fish..........
