Damn bro sorry to see that...

Hope the others are fine

Sorry to see that you lost 2 of the pups. My last motoro litter was one still born pup. It was well developed and the remaining yolk sac was about the same size as the ones on your pups. Hope the remaining pups do well.

sorry for your loss! if she has given birth prematurely before-maybe she has a genetic disorder where she wont be able to carry to term? i know that can happen in humans-and i dont own rays so im not sure about fertility issues with them..

ah man,,sorry to read this..hopefully the remaining pups will be great in number and size..:(

I doubt it's genetic. I think she just can't hold so many pups at one time. I wonder if it had anything to do with feeding habits. I know myself and many other ray keepers tend to over feed their rays sometimes. The pregnant ray probably feels she can't hold so many pups and probably feels worse when she stuffs herself with food. I'm going to try something different this time. Instead of feeding my pregnant ray once a night and watching her stuff herself, I'm going to feed her a little bit in the morning and a little more in the evening. I'm thinking this will help the pups not feel so cramped after feeding. What do you guys think?
