Yeah I see, that is similar to what my motoro had when I first brought her back. When she calmed down though and got in the tank they went away the next day. Maybe one of the bigger rays you have is bullying it.

not really, shes been here since december and shes even the aggressor.. she rides on the 12 inch motoro like she can top her. The male tiger never bother anyone.

this all started when i put an irwini in there. I didnt quarantine it and im afraid it might have transmitted something to the ray.

Thats very possible, but don't you think the rest of the rays would have been affected then too.

couldve been shes the weakest and thats why she got infected. If you think about it, shes the newest addition... though shes well acclimated and eating chopped shrimps like a champ .

hows the irwini doing any signs of disease or stress?

Thats weird then. Did the city do anything new to you water. A week ago the fire hidrents got flushed in my neighborhood, then we had some rust come out of our water.

Or maybe your water treatment plant did something diffent to the water and it may be affecting her. Cause you said it was after a water change.

nothing new to the water... im pretty sure... or the tiger would start to act too..
not the motoro as it is hardier than an oscar . I did add some salt 1 tablespoon to 5 gallons..

That could be it. I don't use any salt with my rays. What kind did you use.

I've seen the same thing happen to both my leos & henlei in the past but they have always been ok. No idea what it is, I have the 3 black rays in together & only one of them would develop the white spots so I don't think it is a water problem.
It lasted a week or so & then they were back to normal.
