I had one Mbu for 2 years, didnt touch anything then suddenly night after night more of my polypterus (some as big as 20") and big clown loaches were having chunks missing from their tails and in some cases their faces. I would not believe it was my peaceful Mbu. For 3 weeks this continued with me selling 4 different fish that I assumed must be the culprit before I finally saw the Mbu bite the head of a 11" delhezi. Literally took off the front of it's face.
All it takes is one bite, they are not aggressive fish but they are curious and investigate with their teeth and when it does bite it will be on the eyes or tail of the ray and you will be sorry. I just hope you take the warning and listen as you seem to be dismissing some well learned opinion.
As ive said every MBU has a different personality, this MBU has been peaceful for 10years and i dont see why it would change. But I dont think ill buy him due to him being very old (i just found how old he was today)but ill make a descision on thursday.
