I plan on upgrading to a 180 gallon 100% forsure so my leopard ctenopoma can "roam" when I move out of my parent's home but school is taking me 3 more years to complete. I feel a little guilty keeping the leopard ctenopoma in a 40 breeder for 3 more years. Do you guys think it's okay since they grow slow and ill upgrade in a few years? It is around 4 inches now. I really like it because it knows when I reach into my cabinet to get food to feed it and wags back and forth underneath the feeding ring which I find cute/awesome....

I think he'll be fine lots of plants and clean water he'll love it
Tank is a little small, but not the worst situation ever, ctenopoma usually only reach about 6". Should be okay, would be light years better to get a 60- 75 now instead of a 180g in 3 years. Wouldn't even need the 180 then tbh
