Finally able to get some pics-albeit on the mobile cam-of my Leopard Ctenopoma. The Oscar next to it is just over 4''. Only strays out from wood to feed but I think its a very cool fish-pattern is great.

I have wanted one of those fish for so long now. Too bad all of my tanks are going to CW here soon. I will set up another tank soon though.

nice Ctenopoma! They are definitely cool fish. I currently have 2 of them (one is at 3" and the other at 3.75") housed with two 3" Nandus nandus in a 55gal planted tank and all is well. Mine are active all day and have absolutely no fear of me. They are very curious about me whenever I watch my tank and come right to the glass. They always seem to be begging for food and eat bloodworms like they aere

Here is a pic of mine with one of my Nandus in the middle.

I bought mine at a Petsmart for $10USD each and both were already 3 inches long. They were housed together for at least 3 weeks at the Petsmart until I finally finished cycling my tank and picked them up. They never fight, but one of the Ctenopomas do rub bodies and tussle with one of the Nandus I just picked up last weekend. Your Ctenopoma looks great too! I can't wait until they get full size! Should be real impressive.

Ive only been able to find 1. he's in my 75 tangy tank. Really chill fish except when the tetracanthus gets too close.

if you want more, email Toyin (africanman) from Rehoboth Aquatics. He has 3-4" Ctenopoma acutirostre (leopard ctenopoma) in stock!
