Leopard Gecko questions

I find them online ususlly for around 30%. A digital probe will work too, if you can't get a temp gun.

Ok, I got my setup today... I got a 20 long, heat mat, water dish, and hide. I made two other hides for the cool hide and damp hide. I also made a food dish out of the top of a fishfood container. :)

I'll be getting the gecko in about a week, how many mealworms should I feed per feeding? And how many feedings should I do per week?

When young they should eat every day as much as they want once a week. Leopards aren't like other lizards in the sense they know when thier full and really won't over eat. When they get older they will eat every other or every two days. Honestly i don't really keep track of how much mine eat now. But, they always have food in thier bowl so I don't worry about it. You are asking a lot of pretty basic questions. Have you read any care sheets on leopard geckos? If you haven't I suggest you hit google up and do some research.

Good luck with your leos they are great pets and have a ton of personality. They gave the oddest facial expressions to.

Yeah, I've read lots of care sheets but I've gotton conflicting information from some.

Good to hear. Best to get care sheets from breeders but i agree it can get confusing. Sorry wanted to correct my post. If you haven't noticed I have terrible grammer .

so it's good to keep an adults food dish filled all the time so they can eat when they get hungry?

I'll probably get a young adult leopard gecko.

Damn, the heat mat I bought only heats the tank to like 82... I'll be getting a thermostat.

Yeah it's fine to keep thier food bowl filled with worms as long as they don't escape. Don't have any experience with heat mats so hopefully someone else will chime in on that. Thermometers always a good idea though.

Yes i agree , a food bowl always filled is fine . as for the mat thats why i use heat tape with a thermostat.
