Rays and Polys both eat off of the bottom. I have had Polys in the past bite my rays trying to get at food and have had rays blanket the Polys in return trying to steal there food. Some keep Polys with great success. I used to be a Poly freak but then I bought my first ray and they took top priority. Now it is just rays on the bottom. I would stick with the gar and the dats. Get a separate tank for the polys if you really want them.

a trio of motoros and maybe 2 gar and the dats you said.
poly's dont mix well with rays.
