eggs are produced by the female with or without a male... the process of breeding does not take place unless a male is there to fertilize the egg..so it does not indicate the female has any sexual preference.. her body produces the eggs and she needs to eliminate them...Her natural instinct is that she is always hoping that a guy comes along in the wild.. normal stuff..

i've had my angel fish breed many times, if the eggs turn white its because they died, either because they didnt fan the eggs to give them oxygen, or they were not fertilized.. my problem wasnt that though, it was that they developed a taste for the eggs, lol, and they kept eating them...

just an update on the lesbo pair, they laid eggs again.... heres a pic. what puzzles me this time is instead of both fish laying eggs only one of them did and now their both protecting and fanning the eggs. I find this to be very unusual....
