What I want to know is how mangrove jack/other fish that are supposed to be kept in salt water died.

did you test the water parameters? ph., hardness?

did you add anything new in the tank, new fish, new diet, new water conditioner, something new and different?

sorry for your loss, its one of my favorite fish too!

sry man . that is a very nice fish. i just bought a stone fish from a store that opened 6 mos ago and he runs ro water in all his tanks and said he has had this fish in fw since the day he opened and it was in a tank full of very large discus so i bought him and he so far i havened seen him eat but goldfish are dissapearing every day so i am assuming hes eating at night. ill let u know how this fw/brackish fish does.
