Here is a 5" female P. loisellei that I keep in community CA tank.

I know you weren't talking about my fish. But since my fish and the fish in the picture look like they could be siblings it interested me that you thought it was a freddy when I used to also believe mine was a freddy. It's not that big of a deal. However I do see the color on the front of that fish but that fish also looks like it's an adult. And also male. I'm not sure if that matters or not. I'm not an expert. But I have seen young fish look different from their adult counterparts.

the fish already developed patterns and colors are vibrant. It should at least develope some hint of that trait. that's just what I think.
