there's no known observable differences between the two in terms of physical characteristics, other than that sen. mer. supposedly gets a lot bigger. But since no one has seen a giant senegalus (there are 15" wild senegalus, big but not big enough to call that sen. meridionalis), and that there are no known physical differences, that's why sen. meridionalis is believed to be invalid.

hmmmm can't tell for sure doesn't look short bodied that would be rare as hell a short body teugelsi
