I replaced all the 75 watt bulbs in my apt. In the bathroom alone there are 5 or 6 that light up. So I replaced them with 7 watt bulbs and I only use 1 and its bright enough. I did the same with the other bathroom all the rest of my apartment. I'm actually trying to find lower watts or use LEDs when the price is right.
Heater blanket around water heater.
I use two emergency blankets on the sliding windows to reflect sunlight in the summer so it stays cooler in the spring/summer/ part of fall. I actually leave it on all year.
Replaced all the aquarium lights with LED's. I was using over 900 watts which isnt much for some folks but now I use 66 watts with the LEDS. Each strip is 11 watts.
I recently took down my 220 to sell it so theres 3 filters and 2 heaters, 1 air pump not running 24/7.
Also just turned off the heaters in my native tank.
Run an energy efficient pump on my 500 and 1 heater.
Washing machine went out on me so I got an HE which uses less water.
Also turned down the water heater temp.
Last month my apt building installed low flow pumps to conserve water which then I also installed low flow shower heads.
I used to use the python to drain my tanks, which wasted water at the same time. Now I use a 500GPH pump with a 20 foot hose to drain the tank and water my tiny lawn

AC is off when I'm not home in the hot months and 8-10 hours later my apt isnt that bad.
In the winter I dont use the heat. My tanks keep my place humid somewhat and if I get cold, wear socks, jogging pants, two covers at night, etc.
I dont eat out at work, so I bring my own food which I eat at work and home. I hardly ever eat out and when I do its the $1 menu at Arby's with water and water at places I dine in to eat.
I dont have cable, internet only. Works pays my internet and I use my parents Netflix account.
I have a smartphone but again work pays for it, actually work pays for it and pays me a little. I have 450 minutes and data, lowest I can get. Then I dumped my text plan of $29 a month, now I use Text+Gold which there is a free version and paid, free has ads and I dont like it so I paid $1.99 for life of the program, saves me $360 a year.
I have a high deductable insurance of $2000. Never had an accident, no tickets so I can afford to have it this way and with $2000 in a different savings account, should I need it, I got it.
My mom and I do coupons when shopping so I save a lot on my food bill, my mom gets so much free stuff I take whatever I need.
Also eat dinner at my parents about 5 times a months and I visit my grandparents often and we always have lunch together, even thou I try to pay them for it they always find a way to pay me for it.
I shop at walmart, I dont need $100 jeans, $12 jeans do the job just as well as your $100 designer jeans that will wear just as mine do. I wear steal toe boots that my company pays $100 towards so I make sure I get a pair under $100.
Work gives me $100 towards my gym membership, I signed up for a deal this year for $199 for two years, thats $8.29 a month, some the rest of the people there pay this or $14.95 a month of higher but since work gave me $100 I actually have in $99 so that equals out to $4.12 per month and its 3 miles away

I also use generic brands at the food store, most generic brands are just as good as name brands, unless the coupons get its for me for pennies or free then I take the name brand.
I use a work laptop at home so I dont have the expense of buying a laptop.
I'm sure there is more I forgot about. I want to do a lot more like solar panels, have my own garden butI live in an apt so some of that is on hold.
One thing I will never do is use the toilet and not flush, toilets are pretty dang efficient these days and unless its dumping 20 gallons of water per flush, your better off flushing. Over time a nasty ring will form in the toilet, not to mention the smell of two or more people using it and not flushing, thats pretty gross. Anyways....
One more thing, I dont have kids and not married
