Im not sure wut type of catfish they are. I have 3 of them. My cousin had given me them when he re-did his tank. he thought they were pictus, but they dont have many spots. All i can say is theyre growin fast tho. And yea mine have paired even tho ones turqouise and the other gold, but i havent had the eggs ever hatch cuz theyre either infertile or other fish eat em. but i plan on gettin a group of juvie sevs for my other tank to start a breedin group and let em pair off.

Those look like pictus catfish to me. They are definatly a pimelodus species and I cannot think of any other that looks so much like a pictus. There are however two color morphs, the following is from planetcatfish.com...

Two colour forms appear for sale. The first, Peruvian, variety has large \'\'dalmatian\'\' style spots all over its body with smaller spots around the head. The other, Colombian, variety (which reportedly grows larger) has many more spots that are smaller, less clearly defined and almost pin-prick size on the fish\'s head. This differentiation should only be used when comparing fish of a similar size as both patterns change with age.

Anyway, I don't want to completely hyjack this thread so here is my little sev. Not much for size but someday...someday.

you have a beautiful baby there..there is soooo much color in the little one already..your going to be very happy when you see it develope into a striking sev.. i never saw a baby so colorful..all that red already..nice.

Here's mine, I picked up in a tank full of 'normal' green sevs.

Any ideas on what it is? I've never seen a green one with such bright orange/red colours.
