that's weird. the two of them turned dark as soon as they started chumming around. I hope it's normal, the way their acting im expecting a spawn any day.
 
my female of my pair finally laid eggs of the large piece of driftwood i have in my tank, but the male would eat them as right away.... im guessing it's because they chose the middle of the aquarium where there is always traffic. it was their first time trying though so i didn't expect much as they are still pretty young

1st pic feb 1st 2016.. 2nd april 8th 2016.. 3rd april 21st 4th june 20 same fish kind of see how he progressed over a few months... anyone know if it's a male or female? or what type of geo altifrons it is? like what river/area.

thanks fishnatics! looking threw my phone was pretty impressed how well he's grown over essentially 5 months. I did have him for a little while before i took the first picture. I wish i would have taken some measurements of him but right now he's probably about 8". I am thinking his trailers are going to continue to grow like crazy since he is the alpha of the tank.

He looks stunning already. I could imagine how he'll look once full grown with trailers. Gotta post it when he's there.
