Cool species. Can you share pics of the adults?Anyone in Toronto want some geophagus diamantinensis F1's LOL
Was more making a joke on how many I have, will make a proper post when they are bigger. Since I don't see these in the hobby here I saved every fry without knowing these are extremely prolific and hardy.Cool species. Can you share pics of the adults?
If you're offering fry for sale you'll have to post an ad in the canadian marketplace section of the forum and list a price per the T&C's

I got them from Oliver Lucanus at BelowWater and so far they breed non-stop even with fry. Once the 2nd batch becomes free swimming then the female will pin the fry to the far end of a 75G, the male doesn't view them as a threat. Once pairs are ready to breed conspecifics are not welcome but dithers are fine.
Yes they are in the brasiliensis complex. Females get to around 3.5" and males 5". They are really interesting the way they build elaborate walls and almost tunnel like areas where they hide the wrigglers. I will get better pics at some point when I move the pair, haven't been able to have a proper tank light on since getting them 4 months ago. Im sure they would get used to it eventually but went from quarantine to trying to breed right away. The male has a great orange and the female is a bright yellow. During breeding the female really glows yellow all over and the male shows more yellow on his body but fins remain orange.Haha, gotcha.
They look like mini brasilliensis with a pointier face. I like the yellow base color w the black extending onto the first few hard dorsal rays. Cool looking gel. How big do they get?
