well just wanted to see people's clever innovative heater guards. plan on buying/making some if i get some more info. do i need a heater guard for the visi-therm stealth heater? b/c thats what ill be using. thanks!

I use the micron cartridge core from a Magnum canister filter. Works great, except when you don't unplug the heater before a water change and drain the water down so the heater is exposed to the air...

Just use the bottom of a syphone thats what i use and works great

I have Mr Miyagi guarding my heaters.

I have a couple stealths and haven't had a problem yet.

just order from the UK still only cost $20 max

i just dont understand why ALL lfs in the US dont sell them

even the smallest LFS hear in the UK sell them i wouldnt put a heater in my tank without a gaurd its just to risky

Same here all my heaters have em.
