Those kinds of dog owners are the reason we have problems with Pits and other dogs. Was he even trying to correct his dog for pullilng? or was he just trying to hold it back and not giving any verbal commands? That's good yours held it's ground and that's funny about the running into the door frame. Brings some humor the situation and Rotts.

What were other peoples reactions, at the vet, to situation when they saw the pit lunging towards your dog and your dog growling and walking way?

Ours love the vet, she thinks she is there so people can pet her and rub here.
it was clear who the boss was in that situation he was telling him everything he could but he didn't listen and finally gave up, and just let him keep pulling. he was doing his best to restrain his pooch. every one was quietly and nervously watching.

when i'm holding the leash close to the collar (to make other feel comfortable) and he doesn't sit when he is told he geta a pop on his but with his leash then he sits.

heres my dogs only good pics

You are alot more conscience about your Rott than most people are about there dog. We need more Rott owners like you.

There is one Rott owner at the dog park that has attacked other dogs, hasn't done any real harm but doesn't do anything to stop his dog. He has gone after my dog, my aunt's, a few others, and I know a few people who leave the park when he shows up or if he is there. One of those owners that leaves has a pit. Next time I see him/her and they aren't controlling his dog I'll give him a comment and if that doesn't work I'll give him a talking to. Nothing better than someone 20-25 years younger than you telling you off while the rest of the people there probably agreeing with you.

We're hoping to get one or two more pups after we move. I've got my heart set on a chow and maybe another pom.

me and my g/f are thinking of getting another pom. our pom lives at my apartment since my g/f is living on campus at school so when she moves out this summer she may get another but i want a shiba inu

I was never the type to find small hairy yappy dogs appealing in the least but in search of a companion dog I came across an ad for poms. That's how I came across my first. The conformation breeder of champion dogs was selling some really good puppies out of English champions. I was initially interested in some of the higher end pups but I ended up taking home a blue 6 month old female with alopecia. I fell in love with her and the breed. Regan is my second pom. At my job I work with a lot of breeds but I'm always happy to meet a pom. They always look happy. lol
My sister really wants a shiba. They're awesome, very sharp little dogs.

Hare is my baby! 8 weeks and now at a little over a year! We have another pit that looks just like him I just don't have any puppy pictures of him. I saw someone else on here that had a pit that sleeps like mine too, good to know mine isn't the only one who thinks he is human!:grinno: Sorry for the nakedness I don't know how to block it out! :naughty:
