Oh and I forgot to say I prefer the sound of 10's over 12's but if you have quality subs its going to hit about everything so it won't really matter what size you have.

I have 2 JL 12W3v2D4 subs wired series parallel in a slot ported box powered by an older 600w audiobahn. The fronts are Alpine Type R components, rear MB quart coax, both are powered by a 5 channel alpine V12.


Now, I just need to get it installed in my new car


If you guys want to see something cool, I'll try to find the pic of my old water cooled alpine amp. It was pretty awesome We bored and tapped the heat sinks so we could pump coolant through them when we were running 3 ohm mono (it was only stable at 4ohm otherwise)

my eclipse 12s hit and sounded as good as 10s I just would get bored with how my system looked and was always trying something new.... if you want get sounding go with multiple cheaper subs... they are lighter so the move quicker and then lots of them = surface area eclipse 8810s and 8812s are still a great bang for the buck...

You can get past the heavy speaker with more power. (RMS----ignore that peak crap rating they give them lol)

Oh I want to see the water cooled amp haha. I never thought of it but I did now. I could do a 2 12 and 2 10 setup with all the old kicker stuff and I bet that would sound pretty awsome. Just a question though? Has anyone used or heard the jl w1?

compare the W1 to a W0. it's about the same.

Yea i heard the w1 replaced the w0. My cousin has 2 (soon to be 4) W1 and I am super impressed with them. They are really accurate and LOUD. He has no doubt the loudest system around and everybody at my school (he goes to a different school) knows him as that orange grand am with king kong in the trunk lol. But let me know about the w0s I would not mind a pair at all.

I can't find a picture of the amp installed. Apparently I lost that disk. Here is a few of the cheesy systems I have done, along with the water cooled amp.

The van was my high school beast. It wasn't pretty, but it was loud! (I never did get to finish it)
