Thanks man. I went with an LM7, larger cam, injectors etc. built up 4L60E trans, 3:73 posi rear end to finish it off. I am not building a truck that I intend to race. At the moment I have 340 HP and 22 MPG. Really nice combo imo for cruising. just want a project to work with my sons on and make some new memories. Weekend warrior kind of thing.
Yes leaving the patina. My late father painted it in 93' and my sons and I decided to leave it. I used to shift the granny box, sitting on my pops lap in the SoCal desert (Victorville) when I was a little boy. It gets matte clear next month after I finish the rockers.

That is a nice setup and looks like it didn't fit to bad. Was it a little tight on the fire wall? I love the patina look but draw the line at holes and being half rust
