Here is one of my ornates...the bigger one. They have been hiding in a fake log and only coming out every once in a while to eat. Well I got tired of never seeing them so when the smaller guy was out of the log I pulled the log out of the tank. It took a minute to get the bigger guy out...but he came out eventually. Well I got them last summer....almost a year now. And boy has this one gotten thick and a bit longer. NO more hiding...no I can see all my polys all the time.

How big is the bigger ornate Gangster? It looks about 10" in the pic.

Why is it in so little water? Nice fish btw.
 
COhazard im guessing the my bigger ornate is about 12'' or so. I should have measured him when I had him out. He was hiding in a fake log and I used the tub to help catch all the nasty water as well as my bichir. He always hid in my fake log....so the log got yanked....he was in the tub for a few seconds then into the tank.

My first ornate did the same thing dude so I stuffed it with fake plants so it couldn't get in :D
