Lets talk about cheapo knock off ebay canisters...

I think I'm going to pull the trigger...why the hell not? If it works I score, if not, I learn a valuable lesson.
 
I've read nothing but great reviews on the SunSun filters (the white ones with the colored priming button). I'm planning on picking one up for my next planted tank.

I got the top of the line one with close to 600 GPH and also a built in UV Sterilzer. Only gripe is the flow rating is prob with the thing empty as it is kinda weak, but not bad at all.

Yeah, I think all canister are rated empty. I know for a fact the FX5 doesn't flow as stated when it's full of media.
 
Oh, just one more gripe...it is a major PITA to prime it with that button, but once you get it going it really does a great job. Quiet as a mouse too. The one I have is in the bedroom on GSP's tank.
 
I looked at those but I thought the flow was actually TOO HIGH for my tank!
