Letting my arowanas go

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's a great price, but is there a demand??? You may have to drop the price lower in turn knowing the fish are getting a home. The aquarium is a good idea, educational facilities, it seems like suddenly everyone doesn't want to take the big guys. You're in a touch situation, and it sucks when the Aro's have to work into the budget just like everything else. You have good intentions, so good Karma will come your way. (I hope)

Can you ship them? (I'm interested)

Dude...I would think Zoodiver would hook your arows up with an excellent home:eek:. I would consider that route.

I have a 240 8' ready to rock just not sure what I want to put in it yet. My 220 gallon is stocked plenty. Just a thought but if you did ship I would be interested too. But I am sure the shipping would be crazy for the size and amount of H2O needed to keep them comfy during a 24 hour transport to Texas. Anyone one know what the estimate shipping would be, if he shipped?

Well you figure the minimum water to ship, at least 10g, and at 8lbs per gal, 80lbs of water, add a few for the shipping container..~85lbs, shipping next day...:WHOA: $340!

This is a guestimate from UPS website, using an LA, CA zip (from) and Austin TX zip (TO).

Either way, its going to be pricey! :naughty:

That's a drop in a bucket for us to ship. I spent ten times that in shipping cichlids last week alone. My concern is getting them boxed and sent. I prefer airlines rather than Fed Ex or UPS. They get delivered the same day they're sent and we can pick up the bill on our account with no hassel to the shipper.

And yes, they'd have a nice little 145,000 gallon upgrade. ;)
