Well sure it is, the institution is paying for it, not out of your own pockets.


I was referring to tankyou, and he asked how much would it cost. If its for personal ownage, thats just ridiculous to pay that shipping charges.:eek:
 
True....you guys should look into airline shipping. It's MUCH cheaper and same day...assuming you can pick it up at the airport. Just as an example, 19 boxes of fish (60-80 lb per box) cost us around $200 or so.

Zoodiver...If it was me....I would GIVE my fish to your institution given the fact where they would be living. It would be an honor for me...and them!

I think the best option here is definitely getting them into that 145,000G heaven, that'd be jaw dropping to be able to visit and marvel upon. Good luck with finding your Aros a great new home because you seem to deserve that as much as your fish do.
 
Well, my buddy had an eye droop problem for his 28 inch silver arowana. The problem with his set up was that he didnt have anything on the bottom of the tank so his arowana kept looking at his reflection. He ended up putting gravel there but also thought It would be a great idea to put a red ping pong ball in his tank to keep his attention at the top of the tank. Now it seem like its a toy for the arowana and also, most importantly.....the eye droop has gone away. I think the red ping pong ball is a good thing to try out.:nilly:

have you ever stuck your head in your aquarium and looked at the bottom??? How about just looking from the top of the water down to the glass when you first fill a completely empty undecorated Aquarium?? You really should try it.. I am pretty sure your reflection either way will look like a see thru glass bottom where you can see the stand and bracing..... Not your reflection :) Well unless you have a mirrored bottom LOL..
 
:irked:No, I have not put my head in a tank but since you told me to try I did notice that when the light is on there is a definate reflection in a glass set up. Anyhow, not trying to be criticized for trying to help out with any sort of info. Just giving an option for someone who ask for some direction. :chillpill:
