Another Option for you is to post a "WTB" thread int he Marketplace forum. You might get a hint of somewhere or someone selling it for cheaper.

The owner tried to tell me that he charges what the market value is at the time, but he had the Lap for about 3-4 months. First time I asked, he said, $40. A couple of months later it was still there, so I asked again since he never posted a price...same price. I tried to get him to lower the price, but then (for some reason) he told me that he doesn't do trade-ins even though this was obviously a trade-in (only Lap he had...if he bought from a Vendor, he would've had more) and that he can't go cheaper. The third time, I just told him I'd take it. At the register he said it was $55. When I told him he told me $40, he tried to backpedal with the market value story, while in my head thinking that if he really did get it from a Vendor, the price 3-4 months ago shouldn't have changed since he hasn't bought any new Laps. It's smart that he's increasing the prices to Market Value from a Business stand point, but definitely somewhat shady that he's increasing his prices on items he bought before the increase.

I picked up the lap, an endli and a delhezi. :D I talked he lfs into getting me the lap for 50 which is better than 60.

Getting the fish local is easier and less of a hassle. I believe if I pay for shipping it might cost more so I'd rather purchase local if possible. But wow, that is a long story. lol. It's a good thing you got it for $40.

I saw the dels but they were smaller than I expected and Im gonna have to wait till my smaller endli grows so I can have a free tank:/ but oh well. The dels seemed really washed out anyways but still thick for the size.

Yeah the dels were small. I was able to talk bobos to give me one for $15. Its in my tank with my lap and endli and are doing good. You don't see dels or laps in Fresno at all. First time I've seen them locally available.

He carries all the good food Hikari makes that you don't see in Fresno too often. On top of that they're really cheap especially when you compare to Whities.
