Heres some stuff ive seen...
At a local petsmart (where the staff is pretty good and the tanks are clean) they had a tank with pacu in it that said adult size 24 inches and then said minimum tank size 20 gallons?! It even bothered the staff there.

Also ive seen otos labled as they need 70 gallons or more MINIMUM.

Otos do need 70 gallons. For a shoal of 80!

I know, it was really weird..

Also i saw some guy ask an employee if he could keep an oscar in his lizards water bowl :screwy:
obviously they guy wouldnt sell him it..

You can keep an oscar in a lizard bowl. A dead one.

i used to go to the walmart sect to laugh at the requirements for their fish i learned more about diseases there then any book i have i've seen it all ,ich ,fin rot ,pop eye, hith, fungus, black spot .
thankfully they finally shut down the live fish part and only sell supplies now got depressing after a while try finding a manger who cares there have better luck finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.

There was a guy who was boasting that he had vicious piranhas
and everytime he would stick his hand in it would bite him. He even showed
what supposedly were scars from the "attack". :screwy:

My walmart sells rainbows in a cup with a pot of gold...no wait those are just bettas.

The guy at petsmart tried to sell me 6 pacu as dithers for my 75g oscar tank. :nutkick:
I see the lfs sell common plecos to people for thier 10g walmart tanks all the time :swear:

Heres one thats pretty funny..

Theres a guy my good lfs who is looking at the red eared sliders after about 10 minutes of watching the he says to an employee, "Um are those tortoises aquatic or something?"

When I started keeping fish and was uninformed, a walmart employee sold me a koi, common pleco, two fantail goldfish and two comets and said they would be OK for my 10 gal. They all lived for three years until I realized they needed a bigger tank and sold them to my lfs.
