Heres one thats pretty funny..

Theres a guy my good lfs who is looking at the red eared sliders after about 10 minutes of watching the he says to an employee, "Um are those tortoises aquatic or something?"

LOL..

did you know that a gar is a peaceful, community fish?
It was news to me, too.

Also you can get that cute little silver arow for your 29g guppie tank since it will not get that big.

That is why you should find a good LFS, with employees that are fish crazy that are working at the fish store to get a "fix" for their watery addiction, instead of a dude working to save up some money to buy a cool music CD.

Petsmart are starting to have signs, but I don't think they're appropriate. Like it says an Oscar needs 20+gallons. While this is true, some...many will probably think 20 would be the minimum for these bad boys.

I've seen the first wave of new arrivals here (meh) once, i can only recall 20 gal seemingly on every cichlid tank. $30 CDN for a new 20? pretty affordable to stuff one full of "cute" fish.

I have several...

here in b.a (oklahoma) there is a store called tulsa aquatics.... the man called my brother sweety (we were friends for a while) but the man is RUDE! one time when my mom got a seahorse he told us that all we needed was a 5 gallon tank and it just needed to cycle for a week....

there are a lot more but can't think of any of them right now...

ewurm.... are you a comedian... you are always making me crack up and I bet half of your posts are comedic

This isn't as much about the lfs. A couple of weeks ago, I took one of my daughters and wyldfya to the lfs. They had their very large tortoises out. My two year old had never seen a turtle of any kind bigger than her head. As she turned the corner and saw the monster that reached her waist, she let out the most horrified, blood curtling scream I've ever heard from her! She grabbed my leg so tight!!

Oh yeah. This nut at the lfs was following me around, trying to 'help' me and I told him about my setup and he told me not to put the micron OR the carbon filter in my H.O.T. Magnum. He said that it would be sufficient for the tank. I told him there's no way in Hell.

i've told this before but for the ones that didnt read.
i'm in a busy specialty fish store waiting for some equipment that i bought and i'm listening to a conversation a customer is haveing with the employee hes new and asking a lot of questions well the employees tired and busy the last question i heard was what can i use to cycle the tank the employees annoyed so he blurts out just piss in the water well i busted a nut lol so hard the people thought i was losing it on a side note this will work but not a good way of doing it .
they should keep beginers books free at the entrance with read me first posted..

When I had a fungus in my first attempt at a tank i went to petland to get some medication. I told them everything that i had in my tank at the time, including my rainbow shark and id shark. They sold me medication and told me it would be ok.

Never mentioned anything about the medication killing my sharks.... :swear:
