I went to QT Aquarium in Chinatown, Seattle a few times last week. The first visit was around 1:30 PM and there was an older guy and two younger guys there. They were helpful and respectful.
They have a whole wall of the most amazing flowerhorns I've ever seen. Electric blue over fuschia and koks like eggs.
They only had one variety of Discus, but there were about 100 of them between the three tanks they were in. There were some marblehorn, rhino and gibbiceps plecos, really top notch albino oscars (no grey-wash BS, and bright yellow eyes) and an alright tank of Africans.
The tanks are set up like divided troughs with drainpipes at the bottom of each tank. Looked like three or four enclosed systems.
The big tank in the front had an assortment of healthy-looking adult Arowana. Around the corner, by the saltwater, is another tank below the counter with more Aros, and one is a hunchback! Not a short body, he looks like somebody punched up into him behind the gills and he stayed that way. His head and tail are more or less in alignment, but there is an upside-down U along the way. If you want to know what species of Arowana there were, I can't help you. I'm not that good. It looked like silvers and Jardinis to me.
The saltwater cubicles were depressing. Too small, really. The huge salt tanks in the middle of the room were amazing though.
They have the huge bag of Hikari Arowana food (the red sticks) for $15.00! There were other foods, too. I bought a bag of algae wafers whose product did not match the picture on the outside of the bag. Pretty pond or something.
There is also the usual collection of sad-looking bettas in jars. It seems we'll never get past that.
There were a few feeder and koi tubs around, nothing special there. And a tank of plants in the front window. I don't know plants well, so I can only say that they were there. Like the salties. I don't know salt, but the variety of fish was good (overpriced) and the clams looked lively.

When I went back the second time, there were more employees and it took a mild exertion to get their attention, but I was not ignored by any means.
They had more baby arowanas (can't remember price) and some average-looking angelfish for only four dollars.
Oh, and they wanted $130 for the foot-long jardini-esque Aros in the front tank.

Liem's was alright. I saw my first Butis Butis there. Good service, but the fish care was marginal. Some fish looked fine, most looked a bit groggy. Of course there were a few dead, there are always a few dead fish in a big fish store. He was nice and the prices were lower than average. It was a bit hard to figure out which tanks were filters and which were stock, and even which held dry goods! Cluttery, but again, good prices and if you know a healthy fish from a sick fish, go for it.
