LFS whants ornate back?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
YOU win.. screw that LFS.. theyre fault. if they overcharged u and u went back they would prolly say sorry so either dont go there anymore cuz theyre obviously scumbags or just flat out tell them HELLL NO! say u talked ot a lawyer or sumthing

Just wait a few weeks before you go back and if they bring it up then just say by law they made a mistake and have to deal with their losses for their employee's ignorance accordingly. If they refuse to give you service then, contact the B.B.B. and I'm sure you'll get an apology or the return of service atleast. Either way, keep it. They're in business to sell fish to people who are willing to pay a price for a fish, it's not like you conned them out of anything when you yourself wasn't sure of the specific type of species of bichir it was. Basically, I would never pay for another's mistake in a situation such as this but maybe that's just me.

Keep the fish. You've committed no crime. Intent is an element of any theft-related crime and you had no intent to deceive the LFS. Had you left the store knowing that the employee had made a mistake, that would have been a different story.

Oh, BTW, $70 is "highway robbery" for a 3" ornate, IMO. They're usually $20-30 MAX at that size.

Keep it... =-)

I remember I bought a 2" Widebar for $4.00.

The person who caught it had such a sloppy writing it looked like it read $4.00 rather than $40.00 =-) .The lady at the counter did not even bother checking because it was so small she figured $4.00 looked right....hahaha.... obvioulsy I did not say anything when she rang me up.

I agree with the overwhelming consensus here. I manage a LFS and I never just pull a price out of the air. If I'm unsure of a price and/or I.D. I check with an invoice or co-worker. So if the employee or manager sold you a fish at the wrong price, it's THEIR fault NOT yours. I would NEVER have the balls to do that!

sell it back to them for what they wish to sell for it
say "70 bucks and you can have you bicher back"

I say keep it! I work at a Petsmart and if i sold someone a fish for another price thats my fault. But come on who gets an ornate confused with a senegal or albino? That place deserves the loss if they're gonna hire some one who doesnt know the difference!

Asking to bring it back is so stupid business wise...
looks like the guy who sold it to you is trying not to get his paycheck slashed for the difference...:screwy:
If you do decide that the food supply is that nessasary (3hr drive)
instead of ordering online, then at least demand a 20% discount on all your future purchases...

Well it's really up to you to do whats right. Legally it's yours. What is your relationship with this LFS? I'm sure that if you don't return it, they'll still sell you everything ya want to buy, but what if ya need a favor from them? Or say you buy an expensive fish from them, it dies outside of the guarentee by one day, no for sure they won't work with ya. Just some of my thoughts.
