light blue tank background?

You're good! Yes he's 4. He moves like an african cichlid darting in and out of the room. Very active kid.

No one here has planted backgrounds? I like backgrounds with plants and rocks and some blue on the top that resembles the open water. It gives the tank an illusion of endless depth continuing onward behind it that I personally find quite attractive.

I had one of those on my 55g and I took it off and put a black background on it and my mom was like why the f did you do that, it looked better with the other one on there. lol. Which I like both alot I just wanted something different lol

Same here, lol. I've wondered the same about the blue backgrounds, major over filtration with sponges on the filter intakes helps with clarity as well

Black is nice for so many reasons, it helps all your colors pop. it can hide algae on the back wall. Alot of reef people like dark/black backgrounds, i use black sand in all my reef and cichlid tanks. it sounds weird till you see it but looks great
