Light questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorta. The HLC lights are configured differently. You should be able to tell form amazon's pictures. The HLC also has green lights. These aren't useful to plant growth but can balance the purple hue of the red and blue lights. It's also medium light. Not the best for co2 but you can still do it.

So it'll work just fine. Just not fancy in any way. :)
I’ll probably get the stingray since it’s a lot cheaper then the hlc.

I was originally going to get another light strip for the fluval led light that came with my tank, but that’s $50s+, ill rather get a new light.

If you think it's worth it. That one shoot up like $30! I still say go with the HLC. Mine's coming next week. I can tell you how it is.

How's the lighting situation going?

Still looking, now I’m thinking about getting flood lights possibly after seeing a youtuber use them and his 55 gallon looks great.

You're doing the exact thing I did. I searched for two months. I wish you best of luck!
