Could you no have some smaller lights going width ways across your tank?

I was thinking about that. Whatever direction I end up going I need to be able to maintain easy access on the top to get into the tank as well as look clean and sleek. Would rather not see wires if I can so It will be a bit of a challenge

Grab 2 finnex 24/7 planted+ in the 30inch size and place em spread on the width of your tank. Kinda pricey but amazing lights imo. Can change the color to whatever you feel like or leave them on their automatic cycle.

I run the finnex planted plus on a planted 125. Yeah their some bright lights.

they look like nice fixtures. I do like the new SE models of them with the better legs. Do you both think I could get away with one 48" fixture and have some dark spots in the back corners to hide my return lines?

ok ill get the two 30" fixtures then and put them side by side
The 48 would leave a lot of the tank dark. If you want it more of as a spot in the tank being bright with all the sides being dark then go for it. If you want a fully illuminated tank they get the 2 30's. With the central American cichlids, I like to have as much light as possible

I have a thread on the beamswork lights. I sell them at wholesale to stores so I stand behind them pretty well. Great lights last a long time and very bright
