Lighting/Metal Halide Q's

Its really hard to run just MH over your corals and your tank and get the quality of light that most people are looking for. I ran just MH over my 75g reef for probably five years, and was very happy, but color was just never quite what it is now with the atinic supplementation on my 125g.

i have 4 different fixtures.
1) original compact florecent jbj hood
2) led jbj hood
3) odyssea fixture
4) hamilton caymen fixture.
3 bulbs, 20k radium,14k phoenix, 15k odyssea. phoenix and radium=awesome.. odyssea=fair, too much yellow for me. its more like a 10k.
ill sell u the caymen fixture if your interested. only a week old. its very nice but i love the actinics in the odyssea. i ordered a actinic led strip for the caymen if i decided to ever use it.
im replacing the odyssea ballast with a hamilton magnetic m81 ballast. the radium likes that ballast a lot better, its a little more on the whiter side but much brighter.
the stock ballast that came with the odyssea is more suited for a pheonix bulb or 1 that is designed for a electronic ballast.
i also added another vortech mp10w to the opposite side of the tank. i cant turn them all the way up, way to much current. im running them in sync/anti sync mode so the current will flow the opposite direction every few hours.
